Womb Wellness & Fertility
Womb Wellness & Fertility offerings focus on supporting women through acupuncture, sacred herbal medicine, spiritual counsel, and coaching. My work is to serve women, as well as genderqueer and non-binary individuals.
Menstrual Wellness & Hormone Healing
Your hormones are a major foundation of your overall health, and when your hormones are imbalanced, the body will speak loudly. These imbalances will be reflected in the menstrual cycle through cramping and pain, irregular or absent cycles, breast tenderness, fatigue, bloating, PMS, endometriosis, and PCOS. You will also notice issues with sleep, digestion, energy levels, and how your emotional body feels in your day to day life.
I work with humans in all stages of their hormonal journey, from puberty through menopause. In our time together, we will explore your entire health history and create an individualized plan for bringing your whole being back into balance. In our sessions, I will utilize the wisdom of acupuncture and Chinese herbs, functional medicine, shamanic teachings, and the intuitive nature of your Womb.
These sessions can help you regulate your menstrual cycles and hormone levels, enhance your fertility, optimize your digestion, restore your sleep cycles and the quality of your rest, tame anxiety and depression, and heal chronic fatigue. This is some badass medicine, y’all.
In-person sessions in Evergreen, CO include acupuncture and moxibustion treatments, lifestyle and nutritional coaching, and bodywork.
I also work with clients long distance, and these sessions include lifestyle and nutritional coaching, functional medicine, and emotional support.
Fertility Treatments
Empowering Women. Optimizing Fertility.
Through stints of working at Planned Parenthood and as a labor and delivery doula, I began to understand two profound truths: That a woman’s body is powerful beyond measure, and that women are rarely taught that their bodies are powerful beyond measure. Our menstrual cycles are an uncomfortable nuisance, a physiological mystery. We are taught that cramps and PMS are “normal”. We have no idea what endometriosis or PCOS are until we are diagnosed with having them. And we are conditioned to believe that when we’re ready to get pregnant, it should happen quickly and easily—and when it doesn’t, we feel as though we have failed at the one thing our body was designed to do.
The truth is that it’s more common for women to struggle to conceive than it is to get pregnant right away, particularly women in their 30s and 40s. The culprits? Stress. Environmental toxicity. Underlying gynecological disorders. Nutritional imbalance and inflammation.
Are all of these things fixable? Absolutely. And furthermore, the healthy you will have increased immunity, better sleep, more energy, and a much higher chance of getting pregnant and staying pregnant.
This is where my passion lies. I can’t tell you how many women I treat who have been previously told that their bodies will never bear children, or that the chances of them ever being able to conceive are low, but it’s a lot. I can’t tell you how many women are able to have a baby once they learn about their bodies and what they need, but it’s a lot.
I approach fertility by creating an individual health plan based on your health history, your diet, your daily lifestyle, and what you need to feel empowered and capable. I have seen clients in my office, I have worked with clients long distance, and I have helped women conceive naturally as well as increasing the efficacy of treatments associated with ART—Assisted Reproductive Technology, like in vitro fertilization and intrauterine insemination—by up to sixty percent.
If you’re curious about how these treatments can help you have a baby, or if you feel like you’ve tried everything and you’re in need of some hope, let’s talk about a treatment plan that is right for your needs. Sessions are available via zoom or in person in Evergreen, CO.
Kambo
Kambo is a shamanic medicine that comes (very safely) from the Sapo frog. It’s applied to tiny superficial burns on your skin, it causes you to purge anything that isn’t loving you, and it’s a major big time spiritual and physical detox. This medicine works to rid the body of panema, or dark energy, and it works on the physical body through the lymphatic system, the liver, and the galbladder. Kambo is incredible for menstrual disorders, hormone health, and immunity.
Kambo has changed my life in so many ways, and I feel so honored to be able to serve this medicine.
I am currently only offering private Kambo sessions. Group retreats will resume in late 2023.
Placenta Encapsulation
I offer timely and affordable placenta encapsulation prepared in the practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The placenta is cleaned and then steamed, and fertility clients have the option of adding blood building Chinese herbs. The placenta is dehydrated and ground into a fine powder, and then encapsulated. I also make a tincture from a small piece of the placenta tissue. The tincture is a wonderful option for long-lasting medicine, as it can be stored and used for up to three years postpartum.
What is placenta encapsulation?
Placentophagia—the practice of ingesting the placenta postpartum—is a replenishing medicine that has been practiced throughout history and in many parts of the world. Most women who consume their placenta after giving birth experience increased energy, a more consistent and abundant milk supply, stronger immunity, and more rapid recovery from the delivery process. Placentophagia is widely known for its ability to prevent and eliminate postpartum depression and anxiety.
How does Placenta Encapsulation Work?
Let everyone involved in your birth know that you’d like to keep your placenta for encapsulation purposes. Bring a small cooler with you to your birth, and have your birth team put the placenta on ice following your delivery. If your doctor would like to take your placenta to the lab, please ask them to only take a small piece of tissue. Contact me within 36 hours of delivery, unless prior arrangements have been made. Sound good?
